Several Ramadan events were held across Lebanon Wednesday, characterized by a spirit of coexistence and giving that attendees welcomed as they proceed through the holy month. In southern Damour, the Carmel St. Joseph Monastery hosted an iftar with the Adyan Foundation that was termed a "spiritual retreat" for the Christian and Muslim individuals who attended.This included information on how to fast and pray in the Islamic tradition as well as in Christian customs, with songs addressing the spiritual meaning of fasting in Christianity and Islam.
