The situation was tense in the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp Sunday following the shooting of a man overnight by a gunman believed to be affiliated with fundamentalist Islamist groups in the camp, Palestinian security sources told The Daily Star.The shooting occurred in the camp's Safsaf neighborhood, where Islamists are known to operate.The Saadi family is prominent in the camp's Titba neighborhood, which lies adjacent to Safsaf, and is affiliated with the prominent Fatah Movement.
