"Weaving Links" ("Tissage de Liens"), an expo of work by Assia Hobeika Massabki now on display at Aida Cherfan Fine Art Gallery, is comprised of colorful tapestries that link abstract and geometric forms with faces and creatures of the natural world.Originally from Homsiyeh, in southern Lebanon, Massabki lives and works in Beirut, where she has participated in group exhibitions and events since 1969 .Since 1992, Massabki has had 10 solo exhibitions in Lebanon, as well as participated in many other collective shows. In 2013 she participated in the Beirut Art Fair, then called "MENASART," she contributes regularly to the Sursock Museum's Salon d'Automne and has taken part in several exhibitions at LAAPS (Lebanese Artists Association Painters and Sculptors).
